My lil chef!

With my son approaching his 2nd birthday, his newest development is the joy of cooking. He jumps at any opportunity to push the kitchen chair to the counter and help do whatever he can to make anything he can. Sure the eggs have tons of shells in them, and the rice has too much salt. But it is all worth it to see his little mind wrap around the idea of making something with mom. I'll eat my eggs withs pieces of shell in them and too much salt, just to hear him say 'I did it! I did it, Mama!' as he puts his arms in the air. That moment is priceless.

New TV... New Drama...

The excitement of new TV shows is approaching us all. The return of Greys is coming soon and new shows like Melrose Place and Reality Hell are among us all now. Whatever show you choose to divulge yourself in, know that there are many being offered this Fall to keep us all entertained. I'll be tuning into to good 'ol Grey's and taking a leap and watching Melrose. Hopefully, my choices will bring me the satisfaction I need from Drama TV. If they don't there is no need to worry, I'll get my drama fix when New Moon (the second Twilight) movie is released in November!

With the end, comes a beginning...

The last hoorah! The unofficial ending to Summer! An excuse to go to a BBQ! Whatever, Labor Day weekend is to you, it definitely signifies one thing; the end of a season and the beginning of a new season.

Beginnings are scary to some and exciting to others. Whatever, a new beginning is to you it is here this weekend. The onset of Fall brings the exciting times of the holiday season, time with loved ones and a celebration of our Lord's birth. The anticipation of what this new season will bring is intriguing. What is awaiting you with the beginning of this new season? Love, Joy, Happiness, Sorrow?

Just remember, beginnings are usually scary and endings sad, its the middle that is the best; so make it count!

Fall is upon us all..

The lazy days of summer are almost gone. Soon we will be back to the busy lives we have forgotten in the dog days of summer. It is almost prophetic to jump back into the hustle and bustle that we are so accustomed too. This Fall brings exciting opportunities, chances for growth and the warmth of the holiday season. Anxiety grows as we wait to see what the Lord has in store for us throughout the rest of this year.

There is no place like home...

No matter where we go... home is where the heart is. From the heartland of America to the busy streets of NYC, it is our home that we miss. The warmth of our loved ones, cuddling with pets, or even just watching TV in our PJ's. Home is the best place to be...

Frugal Moments

I have never once considered myself frugal. However, with two little ones and a tight economy I find myself taking a double look at prices when shopping. I find myself anxiously awaiting the Sunday paper to clip coupons! I am finding that being frugal is not only a smart thing but it comes with the wisdom of age. :)

Sunday Mornings...

It is amazing the freshness and newness each Sunday brings. Renewing your spirit in church, renewing your body with a nap, and the relaxation the day brings is enlightening. It is amazing how each Sunday, so simple in plans brings the relaxation and rejuvenation we all need for the week ahead. It is amazing how the Lord works. :)
